Job summary

ALL Crane Service, located in Independence, OH, is seeking a heavy duty Service Technician & Mechanic for the Truck Shop. This full-time, non-exempt position includes a comprehensive benefits package and a $300 sign-on bonus after 100 days.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair heavy duty trucks, read manuals, work with service writers, and document actions while adhering to safety standards. Kenworth/Peterbilt exposure and Cummins INSITE experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections experience is a plus.
• Strong diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical background.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have basic mechanic's hand tools.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt is a plus.
• Experience with Cummins INSITE is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and repair on heavy‑duty trucks.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust and modify components as needed.
• Read and interpret manuals, parts catalogs, blueprints and drawings.
• Maintain positive interface with service writers, supervisor and customers.
• Document actions taken and ensure safety compliance.

Position Summary

ALL Crane Service, located in Independence, OH is seeking a heavy duty Service Technician & Mechanic for the Truck Shop. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package. This position is eligible for a $300 sign-on bonus after 100 days of continuous, successful employment

Essential Functions

• Responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair on heavy duty trucks
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
• Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
• Positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customers
• Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Experience performing DOT inspections is a plus
• Must have a strong diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical background
• Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Must have basic set of mechanic's hand tools
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Previous experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plus
• Experience with diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE is highly desired
