Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.

Busch Vacuum Solutions has an immediate direct-hire opportunity open for a Service Technician 2 at our service center in S. Virginia Beach, Virginia. The work schedule is M-F 7am-4pm.

A Busch Service Technician 2 is responsible for the disassembly of industrial equipment in our vacuum pump remanufacturing process.

Job Responsibilities
  • Remove pumps from the frame and disassemble pump components minimizing any damage during disassembly per the prescribed timeframe.
  • Clean industrial pumps using cold dip parts, cleaner, hot dip parts cleaner, high‑pressure part washer, bead blaster, and sandblaster.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment as part of the Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program.
  • Safely and productively operate material handling equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives.
  • Cross‑train to support other functions in the service center, as needed.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste as directed by Management.
  • Maintain measurable and productive output as defined by production goals.
  • Follow the provided training and procedures outlined in the written operating procedures of our internal proprietary system.
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the supervisor, safety officer, or human resources.
Required Experience
  • 1+ year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (required).
  • Education: High School graduate or GED (required).
  • Computer skills: Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software (required).

Job Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to pass a 9‑panel drug screen and a 7‑year criminal history check (most felonies are a disqualifier; misdemeanors considered on a case‑by‑case basis).
  • Must pass respirator fit test (annual retesting required); must be willing to maintain facial hair to a minimum for respirator fitment.
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship (Busch does not sponsor visas).
Physical Requirements
  • Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
  • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazard protection, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
