Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate and coordinate work and activities with project management team, GC, owner reps, crew members and other trades.
- Forecast training and order manpower, material, tool & equipment needs well in advance to ensure proper delivery.
- Proceed with work via written and verbal instructions, plans, drawings & specifications.
- Coordinate and manage equipment rentals.
- Identify, schedule and facilitate all jobsite related inspections.
- Perform 10‑5‑2‑1 on all installation activities.
- Complete a weekly SIS (Short Interval Schedule) with a minimum of 2 weeks forecasted.
- Participate in daily and weekly team meetings.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, calculations, blueprint and drawing interpretation & troubleshooting.
- Proficient in the interpretation and application of electrical blueprints, internal shop drawings and details.
- Proficient in the interpretation and application of architectural, civil, structural, plumbing and utility blueprints.
- Possess leadership qualities to effectively direct a crew.
- Meet or exceed project schedules, productivity standards & monetary budgets.
- Instruct employees in the correct operation of tools and equipment, safe work practices, electrical principles and applicable NEC.
- Evaluate employees under supervision in a timely manner.
- Document and report all disciplinary issues to HR and implement actions or procedures as instructed.
- Work with tools alongside crew when required or as directed.
- Ensure a safe workplace, employee compliance with safety and health policy and reduce exposure to liability risks such as theft or damage.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and keep both the customer’s and company’s best interest as a priority.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to all lower‑level employees.
- Operate any hand and power tools and equipment necessary to perform all trade associated assignments.
- Demonstrate knowledge of construction scheduling.
- Demonstrate effective supervision and management, including planning and scheduling work for all employees under jurisdiction.
- Complete in an accurate & timely manner administrative requirements and documentation such as time sheets, labor coding, daily logs, material and tool requisitions, manual loading schedules, incident/injury reports & employee notifications.
- Be proficient at interpreting construction related accounting reports; e.g., job cost & risk detail.
- Monitor labor productivity, quality control and direct the crew to meet project schedules and production quotas.
- Prepare detailed drawings for job as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems & equipment.
- Perform Energized Electrical Work (EEW) for B permit procedures up to 480 volts when required.
- Perform metering and testing on systems not exceeding 480 volts following live‑work policies & procedures using common meters and test instruments.
- Direct and perform work within all applicable code standards (NEC, CEC, Title24, Utility standards, City standards, etc.).
- Be proficient in digital technology and systems, including computers, iPads, phones and all job‑related software and applications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current General Electrical certification through the state.
- At least 5–10 years of related experience.

Physical Demands

- Continue to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Maintain near and far sighted visual acuity with or without correction; inspect small parts, operating tools, measurement devices, assembly or fabrication parts; identify hazards, read posted signs and instructions.
- Use visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
Work Environment
It involves regular exposure to inclement weather, cold, heat, humidity, loud noise, vibrations, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and chemicals. Tasks may require function in crawl spaces, shafts, man holes, small enclosed rooms and other close proximity areas, and on elevated surfaces including on ladders and lifts.
