Job summary

Bruckner Truck & Equipment in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking a Tier 1 Technician with a strong foundation in truck systems and progressive responsibilities. This role builds on Tier 2/3 training and requires completion of additional online and off-site training, aiming for advanced certifications.

You will diagnose and repair complex electronic, lighting, and electrical systems, mentor Tier 2/3 technicians, and pursue ASE and brand certifications to advance within our multi-brand service network.

Qualifications

• Performs timely repairs, minimum 90% efficiency and 80% Proficiency.
• Performs quality repairs should have minimal rework based on value, frequency, and managerial discretion.
• Ability to lead & train Tier "2" & "3" Technicians.
• Can diagnose and repair advanced electronic, lighting, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete advanced online portion training in Mack & Volvo in our Dual branded locations and single brand in those single branded locations.
• Actively working on approved off-site training prerequisites and or attending off-site training towards a certification in the agreed upon training path.
• Advanced knowledge of: (Air System, Fuel Systems, After treatment systems etc.)

JOB SUMMARY

The technicians in Tier 1 will have mastered the skills trained in the Tier 3 and Tier 2 job specifications. In addition, a Tier 1 technician will have achieved additional levels of on-line training and approved off site training and specified below. A technician will not be considered for Tier 1 advancement until they have a minimal of five years on the job training.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO THOSE STATED IN TIER 2 & 3 DESCRIPTIONS

1. Completed advanced online portion training in Mack & Volvo in our Dual branded locations and single brand in those single branded locations. This requirement may also be met using Cummins Training, Medium Duty Training, & or Allison training.
2. Actively working on approved off-site training prerequisites and or attending off-site training towards a certification in the agreed upon training path.
3. Advanced knowledge of: (Air System, Fuel Systems, After treatment systems etc.)

PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS

• Complete all Tier 2 & 3 Job Role Requirements.
• Must complete a Minimum of 3 items listed below.
• Complete in 3 areas of the ASE “Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Certifications”
• Master Certified in at least 2 Mack or Volvo Pro-Path Segments.
• D.O.T. Inspection Certified.
• Certified in at Least one Cummins engine platforms.
• Certified in a Medium Duty (Hino, Mitsubishi, or Isuzu)
• Allison Transmission Certified (one)
• Have valid Commercial Driver’s License.
• Active in the Safety Committee
• Willing to participate in the Mack Master’s/Vista Tech competition
