Job summary

National Carwash Solutions is seeking a Service Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on vehicle wash equipment at customer sites. The role emphasizes learning core troubleshooting under supervision, safe work practices, and accurate documentation.

You will assist with parts, calibrations, and basic maintenance tasks while building rapport with customers and ensuring proper operation. Travel is required within the assigned geography.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Interest and aptitude in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Ability to use basic math and writing skills.
• Clean driving record with no more than three moving violations within 5 years; no more than two at-fault accidents in 5 years.
• No impaired driving convictions within 5 years and no charges pending.
• Ability to travel assigned geography daily.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and instructions.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Committed to customer satisfaction and adaptability.
• Basic computer skills and email communication.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic service work on vehicle wash equipment and accessories, including troubleshooting to identify corrective action.
• Assist in replacing, repairing, or adjusting parts and systems.
• Inspect, calibrate, and check chemicals under supervision.
• Run equipment through cycles to ensure basic system functioning.
• Advise customers on necessary service work and replacements for worn parts.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper function.
• Provide information to customers on operation and maintenance.
• Build rapport with customers and deliver quality service.
• Deliver parts or supplies as needed.
• Complete work orders, expense reports, and time logs accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment changes through training and manuals.
• Assist in maintaining inventory on service vehicles.
• Comply with service policies and safety regulations.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues.
• Other related duties as assigned.

The Service Technician l (FST) operates on-site to perform fundamental preventive maintenance and minor repairs on NCS vehicle wash equipment and accessories. They focus on learning core troubleshooting and maintenance procedures under direct supervision, with an emphasis on safe work practices and accurate documentation.

What You'll Do...

• Perform basic service work on vehicle wash equipment and accessories, including fundamental troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems to
  identify needed corrective action.
• Assist in replacing, repairing, or adjusting parts and systems as necessary.
• Inspect, calibrate, and check chemicals under supervision.
• Run equipment through "cycles" to ensure basic system functioning.
• Assist in advising customers of necessary service work and basic recommendations regarding replacement of worn or damaged parts.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper function.
• Provide basic information to customers regarding proper operation and general maintenance of equipment.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with customers, striving to provide positive service.
• Deliver parts or supplies to customers when needed.
• Complete work orders, expense reports, and daily/weekly time logs accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment changes or modifications through training seminars, maintenance manuals, and service bulletins.
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory of parts on service vehicles.
• Comply with all service policies and procedures.
• Keep Service Manager informed of all problems or difficulties.
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety
  policies.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Demonstrable interest and aptitude in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work
  through school or hobby interests, including using meters and ACDC power supply.
• Ability to use basic math and writing skills.
• Clean driving record with no more than three (3) moving violations within the past 5
  years; no more than two (2) preventable, at-fault accidents within the past 5 years.
• No impaired driving convictions within the past five (5) years and no charges currently
  pending.
• Ability to travel assigned geography daily.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret equipment, operating, and maintenance manuals and instructions.
• Ability to successfully work independently or within a team.
• Committed to customer satisfaction and ability to adapt/respond to different personalities.
• Basic computer skills and email communication.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift items of light to heavy weight, up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to intermittently and repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull, or do fine manipulations, climb
  ladders, and stand for prolonged periods.
• Must have adequate sight to read blueprints and other engineering documents and/or work orders and other field service documents.

Pay range $24.00 - $29.00. Qualified candidates may be considered for a Service Technician II or III position based on experience.
