Job summary

Westminster Management is seeking a proactive Property Maintenance Technician for our Livana Fair Lawn community in New Jersey. You’ll perform a variety of repairs, keep the property safe and attractive, and respond to resident requests with professionalism.

With 1–3 years of maintenance experience, you’ll handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance tasks. A valid driver's license and comfort with mobile work orders are required, along with a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in property maintenance or handyman work.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficient with work order systems or mobile apps.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of repairs, from plumbing and electrical work to HVAC and appliance maintenance.
• Complete make-readies for incoming residents.
• Perform painting, carpentry, and general upkeep tasks to keep the property looking its best.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies; rotate on-call schedule.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in top shape.
• Collaborate with the property management team to plan repairs and larger projects.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance concerns promptly.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Experience: 1-3 years of property maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
• Skills: Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs. Certifications are a plus!
• License: A valid Driver’s License!
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using work order systems or mobile apps to track tasks.
• Physical: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
• Attitude: Problem-solving mindset, great attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
