Services Technician I Overview

Since Frontier Technologies acts as a job shop, Service Technicians perform various tasks. We are looking for mechanically inclined, problem solvers to join our team. Common projects include:

• Assembling and disassembling mechanical projects, machine components, and equipment daily.
• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance operations, preventative maintenance and upgrades on wind energy and other industrial parts.
• Repair, replace, and inspect customer parts to meet customer expectations and job instructions.
• Assist paint team in sandblasting and industrial painting of components.
• Perform basic oil maintenance on 65K gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Grinding, sanding, hand‑painting materials.
• Work with quality department to ensure specifications and ISO 9001 requirements are met.
• Move material throughout the facility via forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
• Package finished goods for shipment.
• Follow company policies and procedures as well as OSHA guidelines, using proper PPE.
• Ensure the proper tools and necessary equipment are available and in good condition to perform the required work.
• Follow work instructions throughout the process, completing assigned tasks for projects following customer, engineering, and SDS specifications.
• Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
• Ability to work overtime on very short notice to meet customer demands.
• Other job duties as directed by Site Manager or General Manager.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Able to read and interpret work instructions.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Perform basic math skills.
• Able to accurately read/use a tape measure.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to identify and operate basic hand tools and small power tools.

• Able to work effectively in South Alabama climate conditions.
• Able to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easily.
• Pass visual test.
• Able to travel to customer sites.
• Must be an insurable driver.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
