National Water Services is seeking an on-call Service Technician to service water vending equipment across Portland, OR. You will diagnose and fix plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues, document outcomes with photos, and report results to the home office.

This is a 1099 independent contractor role with on-demand dispatch and no fixed schedule. The ideal candidate has hands-on plumbing and electrical experience, a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and a smartphone with a camera.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical experience (wiring, components, troubleshooting) required.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment independently.

NWS operates water vending machines in retail stores across the country. We’re building a roster of Service Technicians in Portland, OR, to dispatch when a machine needs diagnosis or repair. No licensing required — just solid real‑world experience and the ability to figure out what’s wrong and fix it.

What You’ll Do

• Respond to on‑call dispatches at retail store locations in your area
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues on water vending equipment
• Complete a service report with before and after photos at each visit
• Communicate findings and repair status back to the NWS home office

Some jobs are a quick on‑site fix. Others may need a follow‑up visit. NWS handles all coordination with the store — you just focus on the repair.

What You Need

The Pay & Setup

• $55/hr all‑inclusive — mileage and travel factored into your rate
• 1099 independent contractor — work on your own terms
