Valley Plains Equipment, a John Deere dealer in the region, seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural and turf equipment. You will engage in AMS products, participate in dealer training, and support customers in the field when needed.

Responsibilities include diagnosing machine systems, maintaining tools, documenting work, and ensuring safety and quality. A Driver's license, 1 year experience, and HS diploma are required; Deere certification is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks using specialized tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Familiarity with Service Center and basic computer functions.
• Capability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing service repairs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• Basic Service Technician certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• A valid driver's license is required.

• - Ensure a clean and organized work area and perform tasks in a neat and orderly fashion.
• - Adhere to all safety rules and regulations during work assignments.
• - Complete all required paperwork and forms using ExpertServices accurately and on time.
• - Track time accurately on a timecard and account for all materials used in assigned duties.
• - Deliver excellent customer service and uphold a positive dealer image.

Position Summary

As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for conducting basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance tasks on both customer and dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. You may also be called upon to provide in-field service to support our customers, with occasional guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman, or senior technicians.

Performance Requirements

• - Meet or exceed effective labor rate goal ~ targeting $160.
• - Maintain a minimum 85% labor performance.
• - Dedicate a minimum of 1 hour per week to work alongside a mentor.
• - Actively complete and stay up to date on all assigned training.

• Industry Experience (Non-Ag) - Defined as 3+ years in related positions outside Ag.
• No Experience - Candidates with the attitude and aptitude to succeed.
