Job summary

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company, part of Avangrid, is seeking a Service Technician B to diagnose and repair gas‑burning equipment at the Orange, CT site. After training, you will perform service tasks with supervision, ensuring safety and quality in customer work.

Checks, adjusts, and repairs all gas control systems and related electrical components. 2. Adjusts, repairs, and cleans all types of gas-consuming equipment. 3. Installs all parts on all appliances and interchanges parts, where necessary. 4. Investigates and makes safe any type of leak complaint. 5. Makes whatever written reports are required in performance of assigned job. 6. Assists in on-the-job training of lower classification service technicians. 7. Works closely with other departments and provides whatever assistance is necessary. 8. Performs all and any duties of the lower Service Department classifications as required. **QUALIFICATIONS:** 1.
