Job summary

Suburban Propane offers a full-time, company-paid training program that prepares apprentices to become Service Technicians with a Commercial Driver’s License (hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate for interstate work.

The program covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of propane and heating oil systems, plus online modules on safety and hazmat, with future opportunities in delivery as needed.

Qualifications

Ability to lift and pull equipment that weighs 50 to 75 lbs.
Possess exceptional customer service skills
Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

Learn to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair propane and/or heating oil systems and appliances through structured on-the-job and instructor-led training.
Complete online training modules in safety, security, and hazmat
Obtain a CDL with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements and Medical Examiner's Certificate for interstate operation
Assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of propane/heating oil systems and appliances
May assist with delivery of propane/heating oil as needed
