Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Technician 2 in Tempe to maintain apartments and building systems. You will work in both vacant and occupied units, performing painting, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs with a focus on timely, quality service.

You will manage carpentry, flooring, pool maintenance, and preventative tasks while supporting residents, associates, and vendors. A valid driver’s license and on-site availability are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years maintenance experience required.
• 3-5 years painting and drywall repairs required.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude required.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pool maintenance, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy including painting, drywall repair, and cleaning.
• Independently perform system repairs on electrical, plumbing, boilers, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, and appliances.
• Perform carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting as needed.
• Identify and perform preventative maintenance and participate in property improvements.
• Maintain logs for pool chemical balance and safety as required by city codes.

Rio ParadisoPosition Summary:As a Service Technician 2, you are a multi-faceted maintenance professional with proven success providing quality service in a timely manner to our residents and community. Each day, you will both work in vacant apartments and occupied apartments, performing tasks including painting, drywall repairs and executing maintenance repairs requested by the company. In addition, this role is responsible for conducting efficient daily maintenance tasks while increasing the asset value and integrity of your community. You are skilled and efficient and are able to handle complex maintenance repairs on appliances and building systems. A successful Service Technician 2 is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work.
