Job summary

Rentix Solutions is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related heavy equipment. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and commitment to safe, efficient service.

You will work Monday through Friday, handling diagnostics, repairs, and service tasks in a structured shop environment. The ideal candidate has diesel/heavy equipment experience, familiarity with hydraulic/electrical/mechanical/pneumatic

Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic.
• Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Vacuum truck repair experience is a plus; training may be provided.
• CDL preferred; assistance to obtain one may be provided.
• Must provide standard hand tools; company provides specialty tools.

Job description

The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vacuum trucks, tankers, and related heavy equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality service in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Job Functions

• Diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Service diesel engines, pumps, and vacuum systems.
• Complete work orders and process parts requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Vacuum truck repair experience is a plus; training is available for the right candidate.
• CDL preferred. Candidates without a CDL at the time of hire will be helped obtaining one.
• Must provide standard hand tools up to 1½ inches. Specialty and oversized tools are provided by the company.
