Job summary

Morgan Properties is hiring a Service Technician to support our 359-unit apartment community in a full-time role. Expect responsibilities across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry and general maintenance, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a robust benefits package.

• One year of related maintenance experience or an equivalent education.
• Active, valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• HVAC / EPA / CFC certifications preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and complete service requests across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and support day-to-day property upkeep.
• Complete make-readies and maintain curb appeal and community appearance.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas per standards, compliance, and laws.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and resident concerns.
• Communicate clearly with residents, staff, and leadership about repairs and updates.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC certifications are preferred but not required.

• Base Pay: $19.50 - $22.50 per hour
• Up to 50% Rent Discount
• Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
• Morgan Essentials: $300 Quarterly
• On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone

As The Service Technician, You Will

• Troubleshoot and complete service requests including, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance and support day-to-day property upkeep
• Complete make-readies and assist in maintaining curb appeal and community appearance
• Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance service requests and resident concerns
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, office staff, and maintenance leadership regarding repairs and updates.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC certifications are preferred but not required.

Hours & Schedule

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Paid rotating on-call participation required
• Must be available and prepared for emergency events as needed

What We'll Expect From You

• Active, valid driver's license and a personal vehicle
• HVAC / EPA / CFC certification preferred, but not required
• One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
