Job summary

Harris Golf Cars is seeking an experienced Service Technician in Wisconsin to diagnose, repair, and install low-voltage electrical systems on golf cars, while performing related mechanical maintenance as needed.

You will use multimeters, read wiring diagrams and service manuals to locate faults, install accessories such as sound bars, LED lighting and displays, and ensure safety and quality with thorough work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Provide your own tools.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
• Experience using multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience installing low-voltage electrical accessories.
• Mechanical experience with automotive or powersports equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on golf cars.
• Install, wire, troubleshoot, and repair electrical accessories including sound bars, LED lighting, displays, turn signals, USB ports, stereos, backup cameras, and other custom equipment.
• Use multimeters and other electrical diagnostic equipment to test voltage, continuity, resistance, and identify electrical faults.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical service manuals.
• Test and repair batteries, chargers, controllers, motors, solenoids, wiring harnesses, switches, and related electrical components.
• Perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and refurbishments as needed.
• Tear down, assemble, rebuild, and refurbish golf cars.
• Drive a companyprovided truck and trailer as needed.
• Accurately complete work orders and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

This position focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and installing low-voltage electrical systems and accessories on golf cars while also performing mechanical repairs as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Provide your own tools.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems preferred.
• Experience using multimeters and other electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting sound bars, lighting systems, display screens, and other lowvoltage accessories preferred.
• Mechanical experience with automotive, small engines, powersports, forklifts, RVs, or similar equipment preferred.

Physical Demands

Frequently required to use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 85 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Details

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Reports To: Service Manager

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour, plus a $500 bonus at 6 months and another $500 at 1 year (less applicable taxes)

Expected Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (may change seasonally)
