Job summary

Briarwood Ford, Inc. is seeking a state Certified Service Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and Ford certification is a plus; we are willing to invest in your future with paid Ford training.

Responsibilities include performing work on repair orders, diagnosing repairs, and ensuring service quality. Benefits and growth opportunities are available within a family-owned Ford dealership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certification is a plus.
• Ford certification is a plus.
• Prior experience at a Ford dealership is preferred.
• Dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination required.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; ability to operate diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on repair orders with efficiency and in line with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, trans, electrical, brakes, AC, etc.).
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional work and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification is a plus

• Ford Certification is a plus

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
