AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is hiring a Service Technician in Roanoke, VA to install and repair propane tanks for residential and commercial customers. You will operate a propane service vehicle, perform repairs, and install new tanks while following safety standards and AmeriGas policies.

The role requires a valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, a clean driving record, and ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Local travel and outdoor work in all weather are expected.

• Perform Delivery Representative functions when needed (deliver propane).
• Adhere to all federal/state codes, AmeriGas policies, and use PPE as required.

Responsibilities

As a local Service Technician, you will play a vital role in installing and repairing propane tanks for our customers while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
• Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
• Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
• On an as-needed basis, perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane
• Perform all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
• Consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment
• Depending on fluctuating needs, work 8 to 10-hour shifts

Requirements

The pay for this position ranges from $31.50 to $31.50, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
