Job summary

Crane 1 Services is seeking Service Technicians to perform field maintenance, inspections, preventative and complex repairs on overhead cranes. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in a safety-first environment, with a willingness to work at heights.

You’ll earn $35-$45 per hour plus overtime on weekends, with benefits from Day 1, a 401(k) match, vacation/PTO and opportunities for advancement into sales or management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of manufacturing/industrial electrical/mechanical experience.
• Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills (480V, 3-phase motor control, VFD, AC/DC).
• Experience working at heights and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of electrical theory for power and controls.
• Familiarity with OSHA/ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, and repairs on overhead cranes within the allowed hours.
• Document findings and make consultative recommendations regarding repair and safety concerns for the customer.
• Provide proper checklists and required forms with customer signatures for all inspection or service-related documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Service Technicians are the heart of our industry. Our technicians work in a safety-first type of environment and don't mind heights or working on mechanical parts. Service Technicians are responsible for performing field maintenance, routine inspections, preventative, and complex repairs requiring strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting background.

Pay: $35-$45/hr+ (Depending on direct industry experience)

Service Technician Role & Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, and repairs on overhead cranes within the allowed hours without compromising safety or quality. Perform spot checks to ensure the highest level of quality & workmanship.
• Working knowledge: electromechanical troubleshooting (480V, 3-phase motor control, VFD, AC/DC).
• Working at heights & some heavy lifting.
• Document findings and make consultative recommendations regarding the repair and safety-related concerns to the customer for the inspected equipment.
• Provide proper checklists and required forms and with customer signatures for all inspection or service-related documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Service Technician Required Skills and Experience

KNOWLEDGE: A minimum of (5-7) years of manufacturing/industrial electrical /mechanical experience.

SKILLS:

• Thorough knowledge of electrical theory for power and controls.
• Thorough knowledge of the mechanical and electrical systems of cranes/hoists.
• Thorough knowledge of simple structural elements
• Understanding of the OSHA/ANSI standard (is required)
• The position requires 8 to 12-hour shift work, which can include Saturdays and Sundays.
• Ensure we maintain a professional, safe, productive, and compliant work environment.

ABILITY: A passion for providing top-notch customer service to our customers. Valid driver's license and ability to meet our driving requirements. Occasional varied overtime as required by the customer and be available for "on-call" as part of the site requirements.
