Job summary

Orkin is hiring in Merrillville, Indiana for hands-on technicians who will inspect and install pest and home protection systems as part of a collaborative crew. You’ll handle attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation, insulation, and light carpentry, while communicating clearly with customers.

No pest control experience is required—our paid training program will equip you with the skills to succeed, with ample opportunities for advancement and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, roofing, HVAC or maintenance preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain state pesticide license within 90 days (training provided).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work safely in attics or crawlspaces.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Candidates with construction, roofing, HVAC, or maintenance experience (preferred)

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience using a metal brake to bend or shape metal components
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to obtain a state pesticide license within 90 days (company-paid training)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work safely in attics or crawlspaces
• You must wear PPE, including an OSHA‑compliant respirator, as required
