Job summary

Webb Hyundai Merrillville is searching for a full-time Automotive Service Technician to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should possess strong diagnostic abilities and efficiency in repairs.

Responsibilities include performing work as specified, diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, and directly communicating with the Service Advisor for customer needs.

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor for additional service needs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Automotive Service Technician – Full Time

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test‑drive vehicles and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed and provide an estimate of time required for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• ASE certifications preferred but not required
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
