Job summary

Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is hiring a Service Technician Trainee in the McDonough, GA area. You will deliver frontline service to customers, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on air compressors and associated equipment, while coordinating with the Service Manager on repair options.

You will train at the Air Academy and with senior technicians, uphold safety PPE standards, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and fluent in English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs regularly and work in industrial environments.
• Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
• Ability to use computers to complete work orders.
• Customer-focused and own meeting customer needs.
• Residency within the assigned territory commute window.
• Must park a company vehicle at residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors and dryers.
• Pressure wash and clean the customer's equipment pad when applicable.
• Communicate options for repairs or upgrades to customers and manager.
• Complete service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return docs.
• Attend training at the Air Academy and with senior technicians.
• Promote and practice safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed.
• Participate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with travel to customer locations.
• Subject to random drug testing.

Your role

To best serve our customers, we are increasing our presence within our field service area.

This supports our mission of providing safe and high-quality service that is performed with great efficiency to our customers. As a Service Technician Trainee, you are an important part of this mission. You will be close to your customers and service our products to provide a great customer experience. You will report to the Service Manager.

• You will perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers (regenerative and refrigerated), drains, controllers, low-pressure blowers
• You will pressure wash (where possible) and effectively clean the customer's entire equipment pad including skids, coolers, concrete, tanks, etc.
• You will communicate with the customer and Service Manager regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades, or other customer needs
• You will fill out all service-related documentation, including service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return documents,
• You will attend training at our Air Academy as well as train with Senior Service Technicians
• You will promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment
• You will set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed.
• You will participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the Service Manager with travel to customer locations.
• You will be subject to random drug testing

To succeed, you will need

• You have a valid driver's license and are fluent in English.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• You can lift to 50 lbs. regularly and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
• You have a basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
• You can use computers to complete work orders
• You are customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
• This position requires that you reside within reasonable commute (within 30 minutes to one hour) of the assigned territory. Proof of residency will be required.
• The position requires that you must be able to park a company issued, branded service vehicle at your place of residence without any restrictions.

• $29 - $36/hr *Salary is based on knowledge, skills, and experience. Salary has been geographically adjusted based on cost-of-living factors. This position is overtime eligible

Job location

This is a fully remote role; candidates must reside in McDonough, GA, or be willing to relocate.
