Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Glen Ellyn, IL, is seeking a Service Technician to perform general maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and building controls, plus painting, wall patching, tile installation and snow removal.

This full-time role includes custodial tasks and occasional weekend coverage. Strong verbal and written communication in English, a valid IL driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check and eligibility to work in the United States are

Qualifications

• Must pass background check and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must communicate reliably in English, both verbal and written.
• Prefer previous cleaning experience.
• Able to handle physical workload and weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building controls.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, painting, wall patching, tile installation and snow removal.
• Assist with custodial tasks and some weekend coverage.

Description

Summary:

• Perform general maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and building controls, corrective and preventative maintenance of equipment, painting and wall patching, tile installation, and snow removal.
• Utility maintenance / custodian (Service Technician)
• Some custodial work
• Able to work some Holidays
• Able to communicate verbal and in writing also writing (English)
• IL Motor vehicle driving license
• Able and willing to cover weekends when needed
• Change work as directed by supervisors or managers to comply with customer requests or deal with unforeseen circumstances.

Schedule:

Full-Time

• Monday – Friday (6:30am – 3:00pm)

Requirements:

Must pass a background check, reliably communite and handle the physical workload. Must be dependable and possess a strong work ethic. Prefer previous cleaning experience. Offers of employment are contingent on a satisfactory background check and confirmation of eligibility to work in the United States.
