Job summary

Royal Arc Welding is seeking experienced Overhead Crane Technicians to join our Midwest-based team and support a growing portfolio of projects. You will work in industrial environments, performing maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections with a focus on uptime and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, assisting with installations, and documenting service activities.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in crane maintenance or industrial equipment servicing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and motor controls.
• OSHA safety training or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot overhead crane systems in industrial settings.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues and perform repairs.
• Assist with new crane installations and upgrades.
• Conduct safety inspections to comply with OSHA/ANSI/CMAA standards.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs.
• Provide emergency repair services when needed.
• Have authority to stop production when quality or safety issues arise.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of overhead crane systems in industrial environments. This role ensures that cranes operate safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and preventive inspections on overhead cranes and hoists.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLCs.
• Assist as needed with new crane installations and upgrade existing equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and CMAA standards.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs.
• Provide emergency repair services when needed.
• Authority to stop production in the event due to poor quality, unsafe parts or conditions appear.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be willing and able to travel out of town, including occasional overnight stays, as required.
• Preferred Experience: Minimum two (2) years in crane maintenance or industrial equipment servicing.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, (with AC Motors, motor controls and power distribution)
• Certifications: OSHA safety training, electrical/mechanical certifications preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and operate tools safely.
• Travel: Valid driver license and willingness to travel to client sites for service calls

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour- Based on experience
