Job summary

Apple Valley Honda, part of the Nelson Family Automotive Group, is seeking a Service Technician for our East Wenatchee, WA location. This full-time role offers $18.00–$20.00 per hour, along with a generous benefits package and opportunities for ASE-certified training with a world-class team.

You will perform repairs to dealership standards, diagnose issues, coordinate with parts, and maintain customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–3 years of automotive technician experience.
• Strong customer-service mindset and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
• Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean.
• Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Keep shop area neat and clean.
• Maintain and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
• Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Report any safety issues immediately to management.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 to 3 years of previous automotive technician experience


• Positive and enthusiastic approach to work with a problem-solver mindset


• Ability to provide a high level of customer service


• Hard working with the ability to focus on the details


• Ability work in a fast paced, team environment


• Ability to follow directions


• Valid drivers license and clean driving record


• Ability to operate a manual and automatic transmission


• Physically able to lift 20-80 lbs.


• Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
