Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a vocational/technical program in diesel mechanics preferred.
• ASE Certification required or pursued.
• B level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy‑duty engines, including diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot engine issues.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers on engine issues and repairs needed.
• Follow safety protocols when working with heavy machinery.

Job Title: Heavy Engine Technician Our company is seeking a skilled Heavy Engine Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Engine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty engines used in various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with engines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty engines, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Perform routine maintenance on engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot engine issues
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding engine issues and repairs needed
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when working with heavy machinery

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a vocational or technical program in diesel mechanics or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience working with heavy-duty engines
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
