Chamberlain, SD – C & B Operations is hiring a Service Technician for our John Deere dealership in Chamberlain. You will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on agricultural equipment, working with a team to meet customer needs and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has diesel technology training, strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic knowledge, and the ability to learn new technologies. Eligible applicants must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field (preferred).
• Physical demands and endurance to perform tasks.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of repair methods, materials, tools and techniques for machinery, engines and related equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to learn and train in new technologies.
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment.
• Participates in training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Completes all job notes in accordance with assignments.
• Accounts for all time and materials used.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly; maintains equipment and tools.
• Promotes and sells service department to customers including service work, inspections and parts.
• Follows safety procedures and works in a safe manner.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.

C & B Operations has grown to 38 John Deere dealerships in 6 states. We currently have an opening for a Service Technician for our John Deere dealership location in Chamberlain, South Dakota. This individual will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment.

Qualifications:

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability for critical thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks
