Job summary

Carthage Ford is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician with ASE and Ford certifications to join our growing team. The role focuses on performing repairs, diagnosing issues, and ensuring work is completed per dealership standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, strong diagnostic and repair skills across engine, transmission, electrical, and other systems, and excellent customer service. We offer a stable work environment with a family-owned culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• Ford Certifications.
• Previous experience at a Ford dealership preferred.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, Engine and Transmission Repair.
• Dexterity and steady hand, good hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment; teamwork-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components/systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.).
• Communicate with Service Advisor to inform customers of additional needed services and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
