Job summary

Stonemark Management LLC in Boulder Creek, California seeks a Service Technician to assist the Service Supervisor in preserving and maintaining community facilities and grounds, ensuring safety and appeal for residents and prospects. You will perform repairs in vacant units, complete preventive maintenance, and participate in on-call duties.

Must be mechanically inclined with knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and painting; able to lift up to 100 pounds; proficiency with common hand

• Must be able to use all types of hand and power tools, Freon recovery machinery, air conditioning gauges and vacuum pumps.

Job description

Basic Function:

Assists Service Supervisor in preserving and maintaining physical facilities and grounds within the community so they are safe and aesthetically appealing to residents and prospective residents. Assists in other types of maintenance as needed.

Principle Responsibilities:

The activities listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the types of activities normally performed by the Service Technician. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides service to residents in a prompt and professional manner.
2. Provides repair work on vacant apartments in a timely fashion.
3. Assists Service Supervisor in completing projects.
4. Completes service requests in a timely manner.
5. Completes preventive maintenance checklist.
6. Performs on-call duty for emergency or when assigned.
7. Responsible for interior painting of buildings and amenities.

Approves:

1. Routine maintenance and repairs.
2. Replacement of minor parts.

Develops or Review and Submits to Service Supervisor for Review and Approval:

1. Replacement of major equipment.
2. Ideas for improving service and performance.

Requirements

Education Training and Experience:

One year certificate from college or technical school; or two years related experience at an apartment community and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Abilities and Aptitudes:

Must be results orientated and self-starter. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Must be mechanically inclined. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, and fee; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
