Job summary

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an entry-level Service Tech Trainee to train for routine maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment. You may travel locally daily and attend training sessions that may require staying away from home; company pays for lodging and meals during training.

You will work about 40 hours weekly with potential overtime and eventual on-call rotation after training. The role involves hands-on installation, repair, and maintenance of fueling and charging

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid State Issued Driver’s License with good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Daily local travel required.
• Lifting 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls at various locations including retail gas stations, commercial sites, and government facilities.
• Submit service call paperwork after each call.
• Coordinate with service dispatcher and manager.
• Explain technical issues in plain language to customers.
• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units and POS systems.
• Install, program and test new petroleum equipment and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and perform repairs as needed.

Our service tech trainee position is an entry level position which will provide you with the training to advance your career. As a technician you will be trained and certified to do routine maintenance and troubleshooting on our customers’ equipment. In this position you will be required to attend training sessions which maybe outside of the area you live in. The training, lodging and meals are all paid for by the company.

The hours for this position may vary but you will work at least 40 hours a week. And there is overtime. Most calls are completed during day shift, however after training you will be put on an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for our customers. This could be at retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call
• Communicate with your service dispatcher and manager
• Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to the customer
• Troubleshoot and repairs gasoline dispensing units (such as: Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett) and POS (Point-of-Sale) Systems (such as: VeriFone, Gilbarco and NCR).
• Install, program and tests new petroleum equipment and perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required.

Experience, Competencies And Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid State Issued Driver’s License and good driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
