Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Wappingers Falls, NY is seeking a Service Tech I to perform maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment. You will ensure safety and rental readiness while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers growth into higher level Tech positions within our Service Department. Responsibilities include preventive checks, reporting machine conditions, assisting with equipment delivery/pickups, and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines, Vacuum Trucks, AC Systems, RV Systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common tools.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment including oil, fluids, electrical, AC, plumbing, and tagging for rental readiness.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Manage and organize inventory; perform other duties as needed.
