Houk Air Conditioning is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and optimization for residential systems. The role requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication to homeowners.

You will mentor junior technicians, adhere to EPA regulations, and maintain professional standards while working across attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops. A valid license and 5+ years of experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years residential HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification requires.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Comfortable using mobile and digital service platforms.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex residential HVAC systems (furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, condensers).
• Troubleshoot advanced electrical, airflow, refrigerant, and control issues.
• Resolve warranty, callback, and escalated service calls with permanent solutions.
• Verify system performance after repairs (airflow, temperature split, charge).
• Communicate findings and repair options clearly to homeowners.
• Document all work accurately in the service management system.
• Mentor and support junior technicians as needed.
• Maintain a clean service vehicle and professional appearance.
• Follow all safety procedures, EPA regulations, and company policies.
