Job summary

Tractor Supply seeks a skilled maintenance technician to service hydraulic systems, generators, mowers, and other outdoor equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and complete work orders while communicating with customers and teammates.

This role requires a high school diploma with preferred small engine repair certification; online training and parts lookup will be part of daily tasks. Occasional travel to stores and distribution centers may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulics systems, generators, mowers, chainsaws, garden tillers, and/or compressor pumps-single step repairs.
• High school diploma required; technical or vocational education preferred.
• Certification in small engine repair; 2 and 4 cycle gas engines.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repair work on hydraulics systems, generators, mowers, chainsaws, garden tillers, and/or compressor pumps-single/two stage
• Provide effective communication with customers, vendors partners, tech support, and team members
• Perform diagnostic assessments to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues
• Complete work orders and estimates
• Ability to use the computer to do online training, look up parts, and order parts
• Work in a safe and efficient manner
• Continually seek both technical and product training when available

Required Qualifications

Experience: Preferred experience with hydraulics systems, generators, mowers, chainsaws, gardentillers, and/or compressor pumps-single/two stage repairs

Education: High school diploma required, technical or vocational education preferred

Professional Certifications: Certification in small engine repair; 2 and 4 cycle gas engines

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

• Effective communication, phone, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Sound time management and multi-tasking skills

Working Conditions

• Indoor floors and outdoor lots generally are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) lighting and temperature are adequate.
• Occasional travel to stores, distribution centers, and other business locations
