Just Salad is seeking Shift Team Leaders to join our team. Under the general direction of the Restaurant Team Leader, the Shift Team Leader will assist with overseeing store operations and support initiatives to reduce Just Salad’s environmental footprint.

Daily duties include providing excellent customer service, assisting with scheduling, payroll, inventory, and food safety, and fostering a positive, compliant work environment. This role offers training and growth opportunities.

Just Salad is seeking Shift Team Leaders that will join our team. Under the general direction of the Restaurant Team Leader (Just Salad’s General Managers), the Shift Team Leader will focus on assisting RTL with overseeing the store operations. In line with Just Salad’s mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible, you will also support initiatives to reduce Just Salad’s environmental footprint.

STL Report to: Store’s Restaurant Team Leader

We are looking for people who:

Shift Managers assist General Managers with:

• The store’s overall profitability and operational smoothness

• Employee training and coaching

• Ensuring the staff's compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures

• The quality of customer service and fostering a customer-centric environment

• The cleanliness of the store and keeping it up to code with the DOH

• The consistently clean presentation of FOH and BOH, including the line items and chopping stations, as well as kitchen cleanliness.

• Potentially cooking product in BOH as it runs out after Prep staff has finished their shift for the day, or in the case of an understaffed BOH.

• The morale of the store and maintaining a positive work environment

• Administrative tasks including: scheduling, payroll, inventory, compiling reports and food and beverage ordering

Daily Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service to Just Salad guests

• Fills out order ticket clearly and accurately

• Assists with digital orders as needed

• Tops salads and wraps

• Restocks toppings and lettuce as needed

• Practices FIFO (First in First out)

• Cleans the line

• Sweeps floor during shift

• Completes assigned tasks

• Works as Name Taker if needed

• Cleans, re-stocks and breaks down topping line at the end of shift

• Cook product in BOH as it depletes, especially during afternoon and nighttime shifts.

• Follow food safety and quality standards.

• Support programs to minimize Just Salad’s environmental footprint including food waste reduction, recycling, composting and more.
