Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Boise, Idaho seeks a Front-End Team Member to create a smooth checkout experience and help customers complete purchases quickly and accurately. You’ll scan items, bag groceries, and answer questions with friendly, efficient service to leave every visit on a positive note.

You will keep the front end organized, restock supplies, manage carts, and adhere to store procedures in a fast-paced setting. Training is provided and benefits are included.

• Operational awareness: follow policies, register procedures and checkout processes.
• Adaptability: adjust to changing tasks and customer flow.
• Physical capability: stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs.

Job description

A Day in the Life:

As a Front-End Team Member, your day is centered around creating a smooth and positive checkout experience for customers. You’re often the final stop before customers head home, helping complete their purchase accurately while keeping interactions friendly and efficient. Whether scanning items, bagging groceries, or answering questions, your role helps ensure each visit ends on a strong note.

Another part of the role is keeping the front end organized, clean, and running consistently throughout the day. You’ll rotate between tasks like handling transactions, collecting carts, restocking supplies, and maintaining the checkout area. With a steady flow of customers and changing priorities, the work stays active, making it a good fit for someone who enjoys variety and staying engaged in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements:

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older, depending on local/state requirements)
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required
