Job summary

DAC, Inc. is seeking a Service Specialist in Houston, TX, to respond to customer service calls, perform diagnostics, repairs, and updates of building systems.

You will support after-hours and emergency calls, install small projects, and prepare detailed service reports for invoicing and cost tracking. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (electronics preferred), experience in construction, and strong communication skills; familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, and building systems is

• Thorough understanding of commercial HVAC mechanical, refrigeration and building systems.
• Programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.

Responsibilities

• Responds to a variety of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours calls on a timely basis; will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug a variety of systems for more complicated problems; installs small projects as necessary.
• Identifies and resolves problems for most types of service calls.
• Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customer and DAC in a timely manner to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
• May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, system audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.
• Uses well-developed troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Provides technical support to end users and team members when applicable.
• Communicates with and works with the other members of the team consistently to improve overall operations of the Service Department and company.
