Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Service Sales Representative who thrives in fire protection and safety. This role targets new and existing customers, promoting, quoting, and selling our full range of services and products, with emphasis on service contracts.

The position offers a base salary plus commissions and opportunities to grow with a company that has over a century in the industry. Candidates should have a HS diploma, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and 2+ years of outside B2B sales

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 2 years of proven work experience.
• 3–5 years of outside B2B sales experience; service sales preferred.
• Experience in fire and life safety industry preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and apply local fire codes.
• Strong communication in English; team orientation.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Call on customers to survey, promote, quote, and sell our full offerings of fire protection products, systems, and services.
• Qualify potential buyers of service contracts by scheduling sales calls and educating customers on our full fire and life safety service offering.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales calls and related activities.
• Submit all sales reports (forecasts) and expenses in a timely manner.
• Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy for each account.
• Close sufficient sales to an assigned sales goal.
• Maintain quotes in our Service Trade Software Platform.
• Coordinate with our Service Department for work that needs to be scheduled once sold.

What You’ll Do:

Our Service Sales Representatives earn a combination of base salary and sales commissions. Exceeding sales goals can have a huge impact on total earnings! The salary range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position at the time of posting and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual starting pay will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location (where applicable), and market considerations. Not all candidates will be hired at the top of the pay range. The pay range does not include the value of employee benefits. Eligible employees may participate in the Company's benefit programs, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements of each plan.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma/GED Required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 2 years of proven work experience.
• Typically, three to five years of successful end-user business-to-business outside sales experience. Experience in service sales is preferred. Demonstrated ability to close sales based on value, not price.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in the fire and life safety industry, and ideally in a service sales capacity.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn, interpret and apply local fire codes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and English language fluency.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills are required.
• Excellent team working ability to ensure smooth turnover of details once service is sold.
• Must be able to work closely and well with others in a team environment.
