Job summary

Energy Systems, a Generac subsidiary, seeks a Service Sales Representative to grow aftermarket parts and service business in their territory. You will promote the service and parts departments, drive PM agreements, and expand sales of repairs and rentals while representing Energy Systems as the trusted source for power generation equipment support.

The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent sales experience, plus a track record in cold calling and customer-facing sales.

We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals.

Job Summary

Energy Systems, a subsidiary of Generac Power Systems, is seeking a Service Sales Representative. This position will be responsible for increasing aftermarket parts and service business within their assigned territory. They will promote the company service and parts departments to increase sales in PM agreements, equipment repairs rental equipment, fuel tank remediation and generally promote Energy Systems as the primary source for aftermarket parts and service of power generation equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Four-year college degree or equivalent industrial sales experience is required.

Work Experience

• 3 year cold call via phone and in person
• 5 year customer facing sales role that includes negotiation, presentation, and conflict resolution

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Well-developed sales and presentation skills
• Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Strong knowledge of Power Generation equipment
• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude including geometric and other mathematical formulas
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers
• Basic marketing knowledge
• Must be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt well to changes in the marke t

Preferred Qualifications

Education

5+ years college degree or equivalent industrial sales experience is required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge in remote monitoring solutions and connectivity or similar
• Knowledge of load banking, NFPA 110 requirements, and fuel polishing
• Utilization of a CRM tool, pulling reports, and analyzing dat a

LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE

This position acts under the direction of the branch manager.

Compensation

Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Base salary for this role will be between the range of $70,000 to $90,000 and the role offers uncapped commissions. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
