Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Service Sales Representative to drive growth in fire protection products, systems and services. You will survey customers, present quotes, and build lasting relationships while coordinating with our service team for scheduling.

The role offers a base plus commissions with earnings ranging from the mid six figures depending on performance, location, and market conditions. A strong background in B2B outdoor sales and customer service is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2+ years of experience.
• 3–5 years of end-user B2B outside sales experience; service sales preferred.
• Experience in the fire and life safety industry is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Call on new and existing customers to survey, promote, quote, and sell our fire protection products, systems, and services.
• Qualify potential buyers of service contracts by scheduling sales calls and educating customers on our service offering.
• Maintain accurate records of all sales calls and related activities.
• Submit all sales reports and expenses timely.
• Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies for each account.
• Close sales to assigned goals and coordinate with the Service Department for scheduling.

What You’ll Do:

• Call on new and existing customers to survey, promote, quote, and sell our full offerings of fire protection products, systems, and services.
• Qualify potential buyers of service contracts by scheduling sales calls and educating customers on our full fire and life safety service offering.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales calls and related activities.
• Submit all sales reports (forecasts), and expenses in a timely manner.
• Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy for each account.
• Close sufficient sales to an assigned sales goal.
• Maintain quotes in our Service Trade Software Platform.
• Coordinate with our Service Department for work that needs to be scheduled once sold.

Our Service Sales Representatives earn between $75,000-$140,000+, which is a combination of base salary and sales commissions. Exceeding sales goals can have a huge impact on total earnings! The posted salary range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position at the time of posting and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual starting pay will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location (where applicable), and market considerations. Not all candidates will be hired at the top of the posted range. The posted range reflects does not include the value of employee benefits. Eligible employees may participate in the Company's benefit programs, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements of each plan.

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma/GED Required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 2 years of proven work experience.
• Typically, three to five years of successful end-user business-to-business outside sales experience. Experience in service sales is preferred. Demonstrated ability to close sales based on value, not price.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in the fire and life safety industry, and ideally in a service sales capacity.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to learn, interpret and apply local fire codes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and English language fluency.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills are required.
• Excellent team working ability to ensure smooth turnover of details once service is sold.
• Must be able to work closely and well with others in a team environment.
