Job summary

National Oilfield Services LLC seeks a Righand to support rig maintenance and day-to-day operation of service rigs in Midland, TX. You will work under the Rig Operator and alongside a crew, performing maintenance, pipe handling, and rig-up/down tasks as needed.

The role requires experience on service/workover rigs, knowledge of well-control procedures, and strong teamwork. The position is full-time with potential overtime in a demanding field setting, emphasizing safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience on service/workover rigs preferred.
• Experience on Double/Triple and/or Double Pole Rigs preferred.
• Experience handling tubing, rods, and other downhole equipment.
• Experience using power tongs, elevators, slips, and other workover rig equipment.
• Ability to assist with pulling and running tubing and rods.
• Ability to assist with rig-up and rig-down operations.
• Basic knowledge of service/workover rig operations and procedures.
• Basic understanding of well-control and pressure-control procedures.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain rigs and associated equipment.
• Load/unload pipe and assist rig movement.
• Perform routine maintenance on draw works and rig systems.
• Respond to emergencies including gas detection and equipment failures.
• Set up rig for workover and prepare for operations.
• Assist with pulling and running tubing/rods and rig-up/down tasks.
• Diagnose well problems and support safety procedures on site.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Righand Job Summary

The Righand works under the direction of the Rig Operator. This individual is part of a crew that is responsible for the maintenance and day to day operation of the service rigs.

Righand Job Responsibilities

• Competent with rig and all equipment
• Performs general maintenance of draw works
• Loads and off-loads pipe and assists in rig movement
• Checks snub lines, pull Iines, shackles and cable clamps to verify condition
• Checks dies in slips and tongs and all safety and riding belts to verify condition
• Responds to emergency situations including hydrogen sulfide detection and major mechanical or structural failures
• Knowledge of types of pipe
• Latch and unlatch tubing and rods
• Knowledge of how pumping units run
• Prepare and set up rig for workover
• Knowledge of thread types, tubing sizes and rod sizes
• Knowledge of working derricks
• Diagnose well problems
• Cut and thread pipe
• Perform service maintenance on rigs

Righand Job Qualifications

• Experience working on service/workover rigs preferred
• Experience on Double Triple and/or Double Pole Rigs preferred
• Experience handling tubing, rods, and other downhole equipment
• Experience using power tongs, elevators, slips, and other workover rig equipment
• Ability to assist with pulling and running tubing and rods
• Ability to assist with rig-up and rig-down operations
• Basic knowledge of service/workover rig operations and procedures
• Basic understanding of well-control and pressure-control procedures
• Ability to safely work around suspended loads, moving equipment, and high-pressure equipment
• PEC SafeLand or equivalent safety training preferred
• Well Control / Well Servicing Certification a plus
• CDL preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, and repetitive tasks
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, and other changing weather conditions
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as operations require
• Ability to follow instructions from the Derrickhand, Rig Operator, and Rig Manager
• Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
• Dependable attendance and ability to report to work as scheduled
