Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join our New Britain, CT team. The role involves loading daily supplies, completing pickup schedules, transporting specimens and lab materials, and ensuring safe, timely deliveries with adherence to traffic laws.

The position requires punctuality, good organization, and basic customer service skills. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $21.00 per hour, with benefits for part- and full-time staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary suppliers for daily pickups.
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily picks to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use handheld device to manage daily pickups.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions.

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join our team in New Britain, CT.

Work Schedule

Sunday 2:00pm - 8:00pm, Thursday & Friday 4:30pm - 8:30pm, and Saturday 3:30pm - 12:00am

Job Responsibilities

• Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups
• Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• No education or experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 years or more of driver or courier experience
• 1 years or more of customer service experience

Additional Job Standards

• Very punctual with strong time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve customer issues
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Be at least 21 years’ old

Courier will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.

Pay Range

• Pay Range: $17.75- $21.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
