Maxair is seeking a Service Projects Technician to lead commercial HVAC changeouts, startups and troubleshooting on a variety of project sites. You will work with the Service Projects team and collaborate with pipefitters, sheet metal workers and other trades to safely complete installations.
The ideal candidate has a 5+ year track record as a Commercial HVAC technician, holds EPA certification, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The Service Projects Technician is responsible for completing commercial HVAC equipment replacements, changeouts, startups, troubleshooting, and other project-based work. This position works as part of Maxair’s Service Projects team and requires a strong combination of HVAC knowledge, diagnostic ability, and hands‑on installation experience.
The Service Projects Technician works primarily on HVAC projects. The Service Projects team operates similarly to a small construction group, completing projects from equipment removal and replacement through startup, troubleshooting, and final operation.
The ideal candidate has strong commercial HVAC experience and has a work history of equipment changeouts, installations, startups, and solving technical problems in the field. This position works closely with the Service Projects Manager, other technicians, pipefitters, sheet metal workers, and other trades to safely and efficiently complete projects.

The Service Projects Technician works primarily in commercial and industrial facilities, including office buildings, schools, hospitals, government buildings, factories, mechanical rooms, and other active project sites. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors and in hot, cold, or unconditioned environments. Working in cramped spaces, on rooftops, and during irregular hours may be required. Ability to climb ladders to access rooftop equipment will be needed.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and move at least 50 lbs. Work will be indoor and outdoor. At times, work may be in awkward or cramped/tight spaces and involve handling heavy equipment.
This is a full‑time position, with typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM hours. Overtime and irregular hours are frequent.
Daily travel to service locations in GA area is required.
