Job summary

The Grounds Guys, a Neighborly Company, is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to join our lawn care and landscaping team. You will be the boots-on-the-ground, providing exceptional care and ensuring high-quality service for residential and commercial clients.

Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, blowing, edging, weeding and pruning, with outdoor work in all weather conditions. Training is provided, and overtime may be required. Ft-time schedule is Mon–Fri 8am–5pm, with benefits as listed.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, lawn service, or similar service industries preferred.
• Willing to complete training within 6 months if no prior experience.

• Front-Line employee delivering exceptional lawn care and landscape maintenance.
• Perform mowing, string trimming, blowing, edging, weeding, pruning and related duties.
• Work outdoors in all weather, able to lift/carry 35–80 pounds.
• Ensure work is wrapped up and ready for the next day.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Team Member

• Front-Line Employee –
  • You are quite literally the boots on the ground. You’ll be a front-line employee who provides exceptional care.
  • The team performs basic tasks related to landscape maintenance at high levels of quality and service delivery. This includes but is not limited to mowing, string trimming, blowing, edging, weeding, pruning and edging and other duties as assigned.
  • You must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, doing very physical work, able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often.
  • You ensure everything is wrapped up and set to go for the next day.

• Attendance: Might sound basic, but it’s critical to meet our Customer Service goals. You need to be here as required by your Supervisory team.
• Budget vs Actual Hours: Keeping jobs profitable is dependent on managing the time planned and spent at each job.
• Return Rates: You’ll ensure quality control to make sure it’s rare to ever need to go back to redo a job.
• Customer Retention: Building great relationships with each customer, and ensuring that they receive exceptional service, will keep them coming back.
• Full Utilization of Software & Processes: This helps make all the above possible.

Job Requirements for Landscape Maintenance Technician

• Prior experience in landscaping, lawn service, or similar service industries.
• If you don’t already have experience, you must be willing to complete training within 6 months.
• Clean driving record
• Able to drive and back-up trailers

Benefits & Pay

The pay range for this position is $14.00 to $16.00 and is dependent on your experience as a lawncare or landscaping professional.

Full time Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm, with occasional overtime. 401K with company match up to 3%, paid holidays, and vacation pay. Direct deposit paychecks.
