Job description

LEXUS OF AKRON-CANTON is seeking Service Porters to wash, vacuum, polish cars, and assist with general duties such as working in the car wash. Saturday availability is required. Candidates must be punctual, hardworking, self-motivated, and possess a valid driver's license. Compensation is $14.00/hour.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

1. Report for work at scheduled times and leave at designated times.
2. Pick up new and pre-owned vehicles as directed.
3. Move vehicles around the yard as needed.
4. Clean all vehicles prior to delivery to customers.
5. Wash exterior vehicles using cleaning solutions, water, cloths, and brushes.
6. Assist in cleaning and removing coatings and protective sheets from new vehicles.
7. Clean machinery and equipment used in the car wash/detail process.
8. Deliver vehicles to customers as needed.
9. Apply wax, buff, or wipe surfaces to protect and enhance shine.
10. Vacuum vehicle interiors to remove dirt and debris.
11. Clean upholstery, mats, carpets, and other surfaces with appropriate cleaning agents.
12. Apply revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics for stain resistance.
13. Use special cleaners and clays to remove foreign materials from exteriors, following manufacturer instructions.
14. Drop off and pick up customers or loaner vehicles as directed.
15. Promote customer satisfaction by answering questions politely and responding promptly to concerns.
16. Maintain a clean, neat, and safe shop and yard environment.
17. Work and drive safely, complying with all safety and driving regulations.
18. Use shop equipment and tools safely, wearing required protective gear.
19. Properly dispose of hazardous wastes such as cleaners and waxes.
20. Report any accidents immediately.
21. Assist colleagues and follow management directives as needed.
