Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Porter to support the service department by assisting with write-ups, vehicle tagging, and prepping vehicles for delivery. You will keep the lot tidy, move units as directed, and help with deliveries and battery tests in the service drive.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and the ability to read instructions, strong customer service skills, and a valid driver's license. The role pays $18 per hour with benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate machinery and understand written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages and report any issues.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Perform deliveries as required and keep lots neat and organized.
• Return vehicle keys to the service advisor and pick up/deliver vehicles as needed.
• Test batteries in the service drive and help with shop cleanup.
