McGavock Auto Group is seeking a Service Porter to support daily service operations in our dealership. You will greet customers, shuttle vehicles, and keep the drive and lot organized while ensuring clean, well-presented vehicles for delivery.

You will assist service advisors and technicians, help with vehicle inspections, and maintain safe, efficient service flow. Flexibility for Saturdays and a collaborative team environment are expected.

Responsabilités

• Move vehicles safely between the service drive, parking areas, and service bays.

• Wash, vacuum, and prepare vehicles for delivery after service.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and proper tagging/parking.
• Shuttle vehicles to and from other dealership locations or vendors as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of loaner vehicles and dealership inventory.
• Support service advisors and technicians with miscellaneous tasks to improve workflow.
• Monitor parking areas and maintain an orderly vehicle inventory.
• Follow dealership safety procedures and traffic regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by service management.

Service Porter

Position Summary

The Service Porter is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the dealership's service department by maintaining the appearance of customer vehicles, organizing the service drive, and assisting service advisors and technicians. This role helps ensure an exceptional customer experience through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
• Move customer and dealership vehicles safely between the service drive, parking areas, and service bays.
• Keep the service drive, customer waiting area, and parking lot clean, organized, and presentable.
• Wash, vacuum, and prepare customer vehicles for delivery after service.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are properly tagged and parked.
• Shuttle vehicles to and from other dealership locations or vendors as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of loaner vehicles and dealership inventory.
• Support service advisors and technicians with miscellaneous tasks to improve workflow.
• Monitor parking areas and maintain an orderly vehicle inventory.
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and traffic regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by service management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.

Working Conditions
