Job summary

Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is seeking a motivated and reliable Service Porter to support the service department and maintain dealership facilities. The role is 40 hours per week with a rotating 4-10 hour day schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and some Saturdays required.

The dealership is located at 10070 Manchester Road, Glendale, MO 63122. Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with service drive checks, keeping the lot tidy, transporting staff and customers, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Valid state driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Run and maintain alignment and battery checks in the Service Drive.
• Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly and move units as directed.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer pickups and pull around vehicles.
• Wash Rental and Loaner vehicles during downtime.
• Assist with weather-related clean up when necessary.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Take out trash and clean the Service Shop.

Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is seeking a motivated, reliable, and hardworking Service Porter to join the Glendale Team.

Position Overview

The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the servicing of vehicles and the upkeep of the dealership property.

The Service Porter position is full-time (40 hours per week). The work schedule is a rotating 4-10 hour days schedule per week. The hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with an hour lunch break. This position does require working some Saturdays.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Greeting all service customers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Running and maintaining alignment and battery check in the Service Drive
• Keeping vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by the service manager and advisors in accordance with dealership display standards
• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Assisting with customer pickups, pulling around vehicles
• Washing Rental and Loaner vehicles during down time
• Assisting with weather related clean up when necessary
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Taking out trash, cardboard, scrap metal and cleaning Service Shop
• Other functions and special projects may be assigned by management

What are the requirements for this job?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to drive manual transmission
• Valid state driver's license
• Ability to pass a background and drug test once a conditional offer of employment is received
