Goyette Mechanical Company is seeking an experienced Service Plumber for our Service Department around Oscoda, Michigan location. The role involves plumbing service work in residential and commercial settings, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, replacements, and small remodel projects.

Candidates must have a Journeyman Plumbing License, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel to customer sites. Union membership is preferred and safety adherence is required.

Currently, Goyette Mechanical Company has an immediate opening for an experienced Service Plumber in our Service Department around our Oscoda, Michigan location. We are looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to join our team. This position will perform a variety of plumbing service work in residential and commercial applications, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, replacements, and small remodel projects.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to be covered on Company insurance policy


• Travel to customers' homes and places of business to diagnose and repair plumbing issues


• Troubleshoot plumbing systems, fixtures, water heaters, piping, drains, and related equipment in residential and commercial settings


• Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance


• Install and service water heaters, sump pumps, water softeners, fixtures, and related plumbing equipment


• Complete small plumbing remodel and renovation projects


• Perform drain cleaning and identify causes of plumbing and drainage issues


• Provide customers with recommendations and options for repairs, replacements, and system improvements


• Submit complete and organized paperwork in a timely fashion


• Keep company-provided vehicle clean and well maintained


• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all applicable plumbing codes and regulations


• Must be willing and eligible to join the Plumbers Union


• Must possess a Journeyman Plumbing License

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds


• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders


• Ability to work in residential, commercial, indoor, and outdoor environments


• Comfortable working in crawl spaces, basements, mechanical rooms, and confined spaces


• Frequent travel to customer locations using a company-provided vehicle


• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, drain cleaning equipment, and plumbing diagnostic tools


• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures


• Occasional overtime and after-hours service work are required based on business needs
