We are seeking an experienced and strategic ServiceNow Platform Architect with primary focus on Security to define and drive the security architecture, standards, and governance of the enterprise ServiceNow platform and also help set technical standards, lead platform governance, and design solutions that meet complex business requirements while maintaining compliance with industry regulations

Responsibilities

Platform Security Architecture & Governance Define and maintain ServiceNow platform security architecture, standards, security patterns, guardrails, and roadmap. Establish governance and control procedures covering platform access, security configurations, applications, integrations, and customizations. Provide security architecture assessment for new capabilities, plugins, releases, and major solution designs.

Identity, Authentication & Access Management Define standards for users, groups, roles, personas, SSO, MFA, RBAC, and privileged access. Drive least privilege, Segregation of Duties (SoD), role rationalization, and periodic access reviews. Provide architectural oversight for SAML, OAuth, SCIM, LDAP, and related enterprise identity patterns.

ACL & Authorization Architecture Establish standards for table, record, and field-level access controls. Review complex ACL and role models for security, maintainability, performance, and unintended access. Reduce excessive administrative privileges and legacy access structures.

Privileged Access & Service Account Security Define security controls for administrator, generic, service, and integration accounts. Establish privileged credential-management patterns using CyberArk or equivalent PAM/secrets-management technologies. Define ownership, credential rotation, monitoring, recertification, and auditability requirements.

Integration, API & Application Security Define secure patterns for REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, OAuth, certificates, and integration identities. Establish governance for scoped applications, cross-scope access, and application isolation. Ensure authentication, authorization, encryption, credential protection, logging, and traceability are incorporated into integration designs.

Secure Engineering Establish secure development standards for JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Flow Designer, Scripted REST APIs, IntegrationHub, and custom/scoped applications. Conduct architecture, security-design, and code reviews. Identify insecure customizations and drive remediation of security-related technical debt.

Platform Hardening & Security Assurance Continuously assess platform security configurations and recommend remediation of identified gaps. Define monitoring for privileged activity, authentication, integration identities, service accounts, and security-sensitive changes. Support vulnerability assessments, security reviews, penetration-testing remediation, and platform-hardening initiatives.

Upgrade, Patch & Release Security Evaluate security implications of ServiceNow upgrades, patches, hotfixes, plugins, and new features. Define regression validation for ACLs, authentication, authorization, integrations, and critical security controls. Incorporate security validation into ATF and release-management processes.

Risk, Audit & Regulatory Compliance Establish documented security controls, evidence requirements, exception processes, and audit procedures. Perform periodic reviews of platform access and security configurations. Support internal and external audits and regulatory assessments.
