Job summary

KOORSEN FIRE & SECURITY INC. is seeking a Service Manager - Security in the Cincinnati area to lead operations for fire and security services.

The role requires 4–8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Fire Life Safety, and a strong focus on safety, staffing, and customer service. You will oversee technicians, manage scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews while ensuring compliance with industry codes and company policies.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years experience in technician/operations roles; Fire Life Safety preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support to technicians, sales staff, office staff, leadership and customers.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.
• Coordinate staffing to cover assignments as needed; manage payroll and PTO processes.
• Review technician paperwork for accuracy and follow workflow guidelines.
• Complete performance reviews and develop team members.
• Demonstrate adherence to safety regulations and Koorsen policies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily operational support to technicians, sales staff, office staff, leadership, and customers for assigned disciplines.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Must be organized and able to exercise effective time management skills to prioritize workload.

Required:

• 4-8+ years previous technician and/or operations experience; Fire Life Safety preferred.
• Pass drug and background screenings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Demands:

• Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
• Lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs., push and pull greater than 75 lbs.
• Climb ladder reaching height of at least 12 feet and/or operate a man lift that may reach heights exceeding 40 feet to perform services.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes and loud noises
• Work in Confined Space environments
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
