Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Manager for a Mobile Storage branch to lead a maintenance team and ensure reliable equipment servicing. You will drive efficiency, manage costs, and collaborate with the Branch Manager to build a profitable location through leadership and strong business acumen.

You will coach technicians, determine staffing, monitor performance metrics, maintain DOT compliance, and foster a safety-first culture while delivering excellent customer service and operational

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; trade-school degree a plus; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Extensive Equipment Fleet Maintenance and leadership experience.
• 5 years' service and maintenance experience and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong motivational and leadership skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time and quality standards and follow repair/maintenance processes.
• Staff location adequately based on skills and workload.
• Responsible for R&M, P&L and associated costs/budget.
• Lead, plan, measure and continuously improve service and maintenance performance metrics.
• Oversee parts department activities to ensure optimal customer service, technician productivity and cost control.
• Maintain knowledge of current DOT requirements.
• Ensure training and focus to avoid preventable accidents and other DOT citations.
• Evaluate performance and promotability of team members; provide necessary skills training and coaching.
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership and accountability.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

As a Service Manager at a United Rentals Mobile Storage branch, you'll be the leader of a major maintenance enterprise.
